Hearty and healthy – with a little bit of a kick, Chilli con carne is an all time family favourite. Our very own Jane Plan Chilli is a best seller – slow cooked to perfection by us, and ready to heat and eat by you (it only takes 3 minutes).
And like all Jane Plan recipes, our famous Chilli con carne began at my kitchen table. And today, I am sharing the original recipe, so you can create it in your kitchen – for you and your family.
Chilli con carne
1 tbsp of sunflower oil
1 large onion, finely diced
4 garlic cloves, finely diced
1 red pepper, de seeded and finely diced
1 heaped tbsp of chilli powder – or more depending how hot you like it
400g of lean minced beef
300ml of beef stock
400g of canned tomatoes
2 tbs of tomato
