Pad Kra Pao or Thai Basil Pork is an extremely popular recipe served and enjoyed all over Thailand.

This is what happens when you go out for Thai food, discover a new recipe, love it then want to be able to make restaurant quality food in your own home. There are several things that make this Pad Kra Pao recipe so appealing: it’s extremely tasty, it takes less than 15 minutes to cook and it’s under 200 calories per serving. What a combo.

If you can’t find Thai 7 Spice in the supermarket (Schwartz make it here in the UK), you could easily throw in some lemongrass, cumin, coriander and cinnamon and it would give you a similar flavour. Also, don’t be stingy with the fresh basil, it wilts away to nothing and gives the dish a beautiful flavour. Enjoy!
