With the recent hot weather, many of us, have been having difficulty sleeping! I wake up after a restless night feeling tired, slightly irritable and generally not quite myself. A good night’s sleep is incredibly important, in fact, it’s as important as eating healthily and exercising.

 For adults, it’s recommended that we get 7-9 hours of sleep per night, yet, many of us are getting as little as 6 hours per night, leaving us tired, miserable and walking around like Zombies. So I’ve put together my top tips on getting a better night’s sleep.

What can we do to sleep better?

Well….there are a number of things we can do to get  a better night’s sleep – from the moment we wake up.

Routine

Try and go to bed and get up at the same time every day. Being consistent reinforces your body’s sleep-wake cycle.

Food and Drink

Don’t go to bed hungry,
