Could you have prediabetes? Finding out can be scary, but knowledge is power. Here are some basic signs to look for:

  1. You’re overweight.
  2. You’re 45 or older.
  3. You have a parent or sibling with type 2 diabetes.
  4. You’re not physically active, or you’re active less than 3 days per week.
  5. You had gestational diabetes while pregnant and/or your baby was over 9 lbs at birth.

*Certain ethnic groups are more at risk, including African, Hispanic/Latino, American Indian, Pacific Islander, and some Asian backgrounds. Keep this in mind while you factor your signs.

Now what? If you have more than one of these factors, take the Type 2 Diabetes Risk Test, see where you rank, and learn how to take action for your health. Remember: we’re here to help you change your lifestyle and reduce your risk!
